Steve (Stephen Nichols) told Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) that Dr. Shaw thinks he has some kind of autoimmune disease – and he’s never seen anything like it before. He also said it’s chronic and there’s no cure.
Deep Betrayal
Paul (Christopher Sean) begged Will (Chandler Massey) not to call Marlena (Deidre Hall) yet about what he’s learned about John (Drake Hogestyn).
Marlena joined John for dinner. Will called, wanting to see her alone, and she agreed to come by later. She asked John if something was wrong. He was about to tell her but got a call. Marlena went to Will, who made up something else. Once she was gone, Paul thanked him for not telling her, and Will said he’s going to help Paul find out the truth.
Steve and Kayla arrived at the Pub and John told them about Roman’s trouble. Steve updated John about his dire health, upsetting a guilty John. He asked what’s causing it and Steve told him they’re running tests. Steve hugged John for being a good friend. Later, John destroyed the vial.
Dear Abby She’s Not
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) found Sonny (Freddie Smith) with the divorce papers. She tried to help him out, but he said she knows nothing of real love. She confided in him about how she felt about Eduardo and Frankie.

She suggested sometimes you have to be practical, and he asked her if that’s why she’s with Brady. He then warned her that Brady is using her. She warned him dragging out his divorce would only cause pain. Later Victor found the papers and offered a pen. Sonny finally signed them.
The Big Con
Victor (John Aniston) wanted an update on Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) plan to marry Eve and take Basic Black from her. Victor warned Brady not to fall in love, since he tends to fall in love with anyone with a pulse and heels.
Brady asked Victor if Sonny was right that he would never trust him or put him in charge again. Victor said to get the job done and he’ll be rewarded. Later, Brady saw Eve and she broke things off. Brady told her he’s falling for her and asked her out on a real date.
Grow Up
Tripp (Lucas Adams) interrupted Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) arguing again. He stomped off but came back and the two apologized to him and even made him dinner. After playing video games, Ciara realized Tripp still has it bad for Claire.
