The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, December 6 shows that romance is not dead for Hope and Rafe, even if full honesty is.
Seeking Forgiveness
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) told Rafe (Galen Gering) he was wrong to think he could never measure up to Bo. He made her believe in love again but Rafe was so overwhelmed with guilt for sleeping with Sami, he couldn’t even look her in the eye.
Rafe admitted that Abe making her his boss bothered him more than he realized. He realized he should have supported her more.
Rafe also said he really isn’t good enough for her. He tried to tell her about Sami, but Hope kept interrupting. She wanted to start fresh, but apparently, she didn’t mean start over because she got down on one knee and asked him to marry her. Overwhelmed, he enthusiastically said yes and kissed her.
Sister Act
Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Belle (Martha Madison) argued about what Sami did to Will. Sami refused to apologize for what she did since she thought it was best for her son.
Belle called her on her selfishness, said she was just like the DiMeras, and as crazy as Susan! Not so shockingly, Sami threw her out.
After, Sami destroyed her hotel room, screaming into a pillow and crying over her situation. Elsewhere, Roman told Eric he wished Sami would have faith that Will will return to her and said it’s up to Eric to make her understand. He later found Sami in her room, brokenhearted.

Digging Deep
Sonny (Freddie Smith) talked about his feelings with BFF Chad (Billy Flynn), noting his feelings of guilt about not being there for Will when he was “killed.” Chad reminded him that they were split up at the time. Sonny realized that but he pledged his love to Will. Chad guessed he’s chosen Will and Sonny confirmed.
Late, Belle found her way to Chad and he said he was glad to see her in person – he needs her help finding out who’s sabotaging DiMera.
Shocking Development
Will (Chandler Massey) visited Paul (Christopher Sean) and told him he knows he cheated on Sonny with him. He made Paul very uncomfortable, staring at him and shocked him when he asked if their sex was good. Paul told him about what really happened – how he wrecked his life and marriage.
Will apologized but Paul then thanked him. Will said most people in Salem need him to be someone but he doesn’t feel that way with Paul. He was about to leave but shut the door and started kissing Paul.
