The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for March 2 has what should have been the happiest day of Hope’s life turning into a huge nightmare.
The Big Day
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) prepared for the wedding and Gabi (Camila Banus) arrived to help Rafe, saying how she admired him but it made him feel guilty. Hope and Eli (Lamon Archey) arrived and Eli thought it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding.
Hope walked back in as Rafe thanked Eli for keeping his secret – and she wanted details. Eli tried to cover but Rafe decided to come clean. Except he didn’t and just said he told Eli they were already married.
Let’s Go To The Videotape
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) looked through Claire’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) phone and found that she recorded her and Tripp (Lucas Adams).
Claire then caught them listening and grabbed her phone back, prompting a confrontation.
Ciara wanted to know what she heard, but Claire said it was time to go to the wedding and walked out.
Grandma’s Wrath
Valerie (Vanessa Williams) gave Lani (Sal Stowers) a hard time about making Eli stay quiet and marrying JJ (Casey Moss). Eli overheard and stood up for Lani, reasserting their agreement to keep things a secret.

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) had jitters that she could ruin the wedding day and Doug (Bill Hayes) tried to calm her down. Hope and Rafe arrived and poked fun of her for being nervous. Julie then saw Claire and asked about her secret, which Tripp and Ciara overheard, causing Ciara to panic.
Beginning of the End
Claire approached the couple and Rafe realized she might know the truth. Ciara pumped Julie for info and then went after Claire.
She got her to admit she knew the secret. The two fought for the phone and Tripp interrupted. Ciara warned Claire to keep her mouth shut but instead Claire interrupted their announcement.
Just as they were going to tell everyone they were already married, Claire blurted out that Rafe cheated on her. Hope turned to face Rafe – broken.
