The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, December 22 features a shocking event as Lani, fresh off thinking JJ cheated on her with Gabi, beds Eli!
Healing the Hurt
Lani (Sal Stowers) walked in on what looked like a compromising situation between JJ and Gabi–and was completely devastated. She ran into Eli (Lamon Archey), who was also hurt that Gabi blew him off. She told him what she saw. Eli confided he had feelings for her once and they ended up sleeping together.
JJ (Casey Moss) thanked Gabi (Camila Banus) for saving his life and Gabi kept reminding him that he’s special and until he realizes it, she’ll have his back. She then encouraged him to make sure he gets therapy, which he agreed to do.
A Healing Hand
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) asked Abe (James Reynolds) to just listen to her and she brought up that JJ would trade places in a second with Theo. Abe said he didn’t want that. She reminded him that he’s made his own mistakes that he obviously wished he could take back, like shooting Brady. He said he’ll think about forgiveness.
Leaning Lessons From The Past
Will (Chandler Massey) told Sonny (Freddie Smith) he wanted to get to know him better, so Sonny took him down their memory lane, sharing how they met, how they connected, when Will came out to him, etc.

Laying the Bait
Brady (Eric Martsolf ) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) sniped at each other in their usual way, but he admitted he wasn’t sure how to get out from under Victor’s thumb. She suggested he work for her – it’s better than working for Sonny. He agreed, asked for a ton, and then he shocked her with a kiss under the mistletoe.
