The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, August 28 features tons of trouble for Hattie and Bonnie as they try their hand at remaking that campy movie classic, Weekend at Bernie’s, starring Anjelica Deveraux.
Ding Dong
Anjelica (Morgan Fairchild) was really, most sincerely dead, which freaked out Hattie (Deidre Hall) and Bonnie as they panicked over what to do about it.
To make matters worse, a jubilant Justin (Wally Kurth) stopped by and complicated things. So, having to work quickly without Bonnie (Judi Evans) to help, Hattie decided to dump Anjelica’s body in bed with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), saving her from dragging her to her car.
Upsetting the Apple Cart
Before visiting “Adrienne,” Justin spoke with Victor (John Aniston) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) about his reunion and told them Adrienne would be moving back in later that evening. But Maggie felt horrible for Lucas and therefore wasn’t thrilled.

On the Case
Abe (James Reynolds) revealed to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) how he became a part of the sting – during a conversation with Eli – and it was his idea to be the bait. Hope and Rafe conspired with Abe to turn up the heat with the hope that it would push Raines to make a mistake.
On The Down Low
Eli (Lamon Archey) worked very hard to put all the pieces into place, trying to get Raines to trip himself up. He followed him when Raines went to pay Myron a visit, telling the tech guru to “create” evidence of Abe’s involvement. Myron realized Raines is the silent partner.
But Eli had another problem – he had to try to stop Lani (Sal Stowers) and JJ (Casey Moss) from blowing up his plan while they did their own private investigating. As he argued with JJ, Lani slipped in and was caught by Raines. She quickly figured it out and fled. JJ also figured it out, but Eli didn’t confirm his theory.
