When our favorites die on soap operas, you’re never really sure they’re most sincerely dead, especially on Days of Our Lives.
Plenty of characters we thought were dead have miraculously returned to life – like Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Josh Taylor)–and especially Stefano. Soap Hub asked which of three dearly departed characters would you most like to see return from the dead.
E.J. DiMera
Out of nearly 6,000 votes, 51% of you wanted to see sexy E.J. (James Scott) brought back to life in Salem. After all, there are plenty of people around town to welcome him back (or try to drive him back out), even if his wife Sami (Alison Sweeney) isn’t one of them. Their love was one for the ages but E.J. was also involved with Nicole and Kate (Lauren Koslow) – he could certainly spice up their lives if he were to reappear. As Stefano’s son, it would be interesting to see how he’d react to Hope (Kristian Alfonso), since she killed him in cold blood. Besides, didn’t Kristen inject something into his “dead” arm – could she have given him whatever made Stefano rise from the ashes so many times?

Dr. Daniel Jonas
About 38% are missing the wonderful Dr. Daniel Jonas – almost as much as Nicole (Arianne Zucker). She really hasn’t been the same since his death, and it made her vulnerable to the likes of Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). You would love it if he came back to sweep Nicole out of Deimos’s arms and bring her heart back to life. Let’s not forget that Parker could really use having his father back in his life. Past lovers besides Nicole — Chloe, Kate and Jennifer — would all benefit by having his bedside manner back in Salem.
Jack Deveraux
Still 10% want to see Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) back walking the streets of Salem right into Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) waiting arms. She’s so messed up after losing him, she conjures up his spirit to help her through rough times, like losing their daughter. You know it would be the answer to her dreams (and yours) if he could return to her in the flesh. Their love was very special and you miss seeing it on the show.
