After days of rumors of a casting bloodbath at Days of Our Lives, one performer has confirmed she’s indeed been let go.
Nadia Bjorlin took to social media on Thursday night to say farewell to the soap she’s called home off and on for nearly two decades.
Bjorlin began her DAYS career as a teenage Chloe back in 1999. The nerdy opera-singing teen was known as “Ghoul Girl” to the other Salem teens, but eventually came into her own and became a leading lady on the soap.
In the last few years, fans have seen Chloe off and on as Bjorlin gave birth to two sons in under two years.
Despite that, she still had a major storyline when Chloe became the secret surrogate mother for Nicole’s daughter, Holly. (So secret even Nicole didn’t know until after Holly was born.)
“Oh, I nearly made it as a master of soaps… #sandymeisner#19years #dool …….Thank you @nbcdays for the memories. #andthecurtainfalls #farewell,” Bjorlin wrote on Instagram.
Sadly, there are rumors of several other performers getting the ax, including Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire), Lucas Adams (Tripp), Kyle Lowder (Rex), Greg Rikaart (Leo), and Bradon Barash (who has yet to air as a recast Stefan).
Now, the above list are just rumored cast cuts and have not been confirmed by the show or the actors.
As Soap Hub learns more about these rumors, we will keep you informed.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
