What the Devil’s DAYS Appearance in Heaven Means For Susan Banks

Could Susan Banks be more alive than DAYS fans previously thought?

Days of our Lives fans were devastated when Marlena died, just like Kayla and Kate, from the same mystery virus. You feared you would never see her again! Luckily, death is no big deal in Salem. Marlena went up to Heaven. And we went with her. There, she was welcomed not by Kayla, or Marlena’s twin sister, Samantha, or her parents, or Don Craig Jr, the baby Marlena lost to crib death, but by Susan Banks.

Days of our Lives Clue

Because, sure, why not? Susan (Stacy Haiduk) advised Marlena (Deidre Hall) that Kate (Lauren Koslow) hadn’t made it past the pearly gates, but Marlena should go ahead and make herself at home. Then, once Marlena went off to freshen up — is everyone not fresh in Heaven? — Susan’s eyes glowed red, and we realized that it was actually the Devil assuming Susan’s sweet, innocent, loving form. Which is good news, indeed!

DAYS: Face Mask

Why is it good news? Because it means that, if the Devil is pretending to be Susan, then Susan isn’t actually in Heaven. Which means that Susan isn’t actually dead!

It makes perfect sense. Susan and Ava (Tamara Braun) were in the same car when it went over one of Salem’s many cliffs. Ava turned up alive. So why shouldn’t Susan? She’s a tough broad. She survived Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), Kristen DiMera (both the Eileen Davidson and the Stacy Haiduk varieties), and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) as a daughter-in-law. Susan can survive anything!

Many Happy Susan Banks Returns

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) mourned his mother so deeply. He would be ecstatic to get her back. The same goes for grandson Johnny (Carson Boatman), and presumably Susan’s Elvis-impersonator Roger, too. Only Tripp (Lucas Adams) was happy to see Ava back. Everyone will cheer Susan’s return. And since she’s not in Heaven, and Susan would never be sent to hell, the only place left for her to be is back on Earth!
