We know it’s hard to imagine, but once upon a time, Days of our Lives had no Bradys, no Johnsons, no Hernandez, no DiMera, and no Kiriakis families. For a while, Tony was the only representative of his clan, Roman the only one of his, Steve the only Johnson, and Victor the only Kiriakis.
Days of our Lives: All In The Family
But then, one person caught on and was rewarded with a sibling. And parents. And children. And cousins. Before you knew it, they were the major players. (And fans were asking: Where are our Hortons?) Here’s why it’s time for the Shins to get that family treatment.
DOOL: Leading Man
Li (Remington Hoffman) is hot. Li is smart. Li is scheming, and Li is fun to watch. Those are all the qualities we love in a Salem romantic lead. And it’s not like his lying to Gabi (Camila Banus) takes him out of the running for love. If that were the case, no one in Salem would have a love life!
Days of our Lives: Young Scene
Right now, the young people on DAYS include Johnny (Carson Boatman) and his sister Allie’s cousin, Stephanie (Abigail Klein), Johnny’s uncle, Chad (Billy Flynn), Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), who isn’t biologically related to Stephanie, but was raised by her father’s sister, and Chanel (Raven Bowens), the only one not deeply tied to the canvas. The show desperately needs fresh blood, and Wendy (Victoria Grace) is perfect. She’s not related to anyone. Also, she’s smart, spunky, and adorable. Those are all the qualities we love in a Salem romantic lead.
DAYS Father Knows Best
And then there’s Mr. Shin (Clyde Kusatsu). We love how Wendy needles him, and we love how the otherwise arrogant Li is intimidated by him. We love Mr. Shin when he’s showing the young whippersnappers how business should be done, and we especially love it when he blows his top at their stupidity. This family should stay in Salem for a good, long time.
