Once Belle Black reunited with Shawn on Days of our Lives, we thought any chance for her and EJ to have more than a quick hook-up was over. But now Shawn is in Greece, wallowing in guilt. And Belle is in Salem. Punching EJ in the gut.

Want a good reason for EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) to lose interest in Nicole? Not only does he know she lied to him about sleeping with Eric (Greg Vaughan), but now Nicole might be pregnant with Eric’s baby. Want another good reason for Belle to lose interest in Shawn? Shawn starts pushing his wife away, punishing himself for shooting Bo (Peter Reckell), feeling that he doesn’t deserve happiness.

Days of our Lives: Nothing Better To Do
Belle will be sympathetic to Shawn…up to a point. And EJ will entertain the idea that Nicole’s baby might be his…until he is proven otherwise. We’re still not putting it past Nicole to claim that her baby is Eric’s, even if she’s not sure, just to get back the husband she doesn’t feel she ever deserved to lose in the first place. And if that happens, EJ will be on the warpath. But, unlike Shawn, he’ll allow Belle to comfort him.
Comfort Inn
And we all know what room comforting happens in. No, not the kitchen. Comfort food is not what either EJ or Belle will be looking for this go around. Their comfort will take place in the bedroom. Sure, Shawn will be furious, and Nicole will be pouty that she can be replaced so easily. But they both contributed to this reunion.
