Christopher Sean is best known for playing John Black’s son Paul Narita on Days of Our Lives, but the handsome actor’s first soap role was as a waiter on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Sean has also appeared on shows over the years such as The Mindy Project, Hawaii Five-0, and Hollywood Heights. From where he was discovered to being a part of the Star Wars family, here are five fast facts about the former Days of Our Lives actor.

Who Is Christopher Sean?

Sean was born on October 25 in Oak Harbor, Washington to parents Sayuri and Patrick Friel. He grew up with two sisters, Candis and Melody. Though his family moved around a lot when he was younger because his father was in the navy, he grew up mostly in Southern California. He is Japanese on his mother’s side and Irish, Spanish, and German on his father’s.

Pageant Winner
Sean was working at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Valencia, California when he was first discovered. He started modeling and ended up winning the 2007 Mr. Asia USA pageant. The prize was $1,500 and one year of acting classes at the Michael John Studio.

Part Of History
Sean co-starred in the 2012 web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, which ended up being the first YouTube show to win a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media.

A Few Of His Favorite Things

Along with acting, Sean makes sure to find time to pursue his other passions, like martial arts, tae kwon do, jiu-jitsu, boxing, and wrestling. He also loves reading sci-fi and comic books and is a certified rescue diver.

From Days of Our Lives To A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Sean left DAYS to concentrate on voicing a character named Kazuda Xiono on Star Wars Resistance, which is an animated television show produced by Lucasfilm Animation. The show airs on Disney and is set to premiere its second and final season in October. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
