Poor romantic Sonny was armed with champagne on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) but no man to share it with – or to kiss.
That’s because Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) not-so-dead husband had left him alone at a party to get some air – or rather to lock lips with Sonny’s almost-husband but now free agent Paul (Christopher Sean). Oh no for Sonny!
Of course, Sonny did go from being all gooey-eyed over Paul to being all gooey-eyed for Will (Chandler Massey) in a hot New York minute that it left everyone’s head spinning. Paul was devastated that his future was ripped from him while Will is just overwhelmed.
And while Will wants to feel that supposed once-in-a-lifetime love he’s been told he and Sonny shared – well, he just isn’t. But Paul has Will’s attention and he would like to explore… those feelings.
Or at least it sure seems that way. Soap Hub asked what should Sonny do now — and your two cents on his romantic future spelled it out plainly.

After over 10,000 votes were tallied, 89% declared that Sonny needs some time to himself. His whiplash everlasting love declarations have got everyone around him dizzy and frankly – he’s causing a lot of people pain.

Sonny may be making mistakes left and right but that doesn’t matter, say 11% of you who are enjoying the romantic fallout. Sure, Will looks a little uncomfortable around Sonny, and Paul just looks at him with those puppy dog sad eyes but that’s what makes for great soap viewing!
Sonny is bound to be upset when he learns the truth about Will, and you would rather see Sonny fight for his man (whichever one he chooses) than stay on the sidelines, nursing a broken heart. That’s definitely not what you want for him!
