Chad the Cad? What Did He Do To Poor Gabi’s Heart on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)?

While most Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans have been rooting for Chad and Abby to reunite, there’s still a segment pulling for Gabi – and now all hope for their promising romance seems to have died on today’s show. But, it wasn’t done in the way you’d expect…

Most triangles on soaps end up having one side go nuts after a rejection. Heck, most on DAYS do that (think Vincent Irizarry’s Deimos after Nicole’s rejection). The one thing Chabi fans can be grateful for is that Gabi bowed out gracefully.

It was a standout moment for unlucky-in-love Gabi (Camila Banus) as she tore Chad away from Abigail’s sick bed to have a proper adult conversation about where they stand, in other words, to end things on a classy note. After all, she heard him proclaim his love for Abby.

During their conversation, Gabi admitted to Chad that she always felt like she was in Abigail’s (Marci Miller) shadow, constantly dreading the moment she knew was coming – that he was going to return to the love of his life and break her heart.

As compassionate and selfless as Gabi was in letting Chad (Billy Flynn) go, are Chabby fans thrilled with Chad’s behavior in all of this?

He knew he still loved Abby but rather than leave Gabi’s fragile heart alone – he strung her along.

Is Chad that weak that he can’t bear to be alone that he was willing to risk his long friendship with a woman he knew was totally in love with him? He broke her heart once already when Abby returned. He had to do it again!?

So poor Gabi is once again road kill on the Chad and Abigail reunion highway. Her love for Chad and Abby is why she bowed out gracefully, but will she end up losing her two best friends and the bright future she thought she had with Chad?

Here’s hoping someone new will come along to help Gabi pick up the pieces.
