In a surprise move, former The Young and the Restless star Stacey Haiduk is reportedly taking over Eileen Davidson’s roles on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) just as Davidson quits her current soap becomes available.
According to Daytime Confidential, “multiple sources have confirmed former The Young and the Restless and All My Children star Stacy Haiduk is already taping as at least one of Davidson’s former Days of Our Lives characters.”
Not only has she already started, she is hitting it out of the park. Brandon Beemer, who plays Shawn, retweeted the news and added, “And she’s soooooo good!!” This would certainly confirm the news that she’s already started on the show.
While it may be a disappointment to DAYS fans who were hoping that Davidson would return to the roles she made famous, especially now that the news has hit that she’s left her Y&R role, those familiar with Haiduk’s work on her other two shows know that the roles are in good hands.
Haiduk was fantastic in her Y&R roles of Patty Williams and Dr. Emily Peterson, where she had to play a wide range of emotions. Patty was completely crazy and homicidal while Emily was sophisticated and sharp.

There is no news on how long Haiduk will play Kristen and perhaps now that Davidson is available, there can be a casting change again.
Rumor has it that Haiduk appears at John and Marlena’s latest wedding and is sure to stir up trouble.
