As soon as Days of Our Lives announced that Carrie and Austin would be paying a return visit to Salem, fans instantly began speculating that the third wheel from their 1990s triangle – sister Sami – might not be far behind. Viewers chimed in on the question: What do you want to see for Sami and Carrie? Here’s what they had to say:
It Takes Me All the Way, I Want You To Stay
Even though Carrie (Christie Clark) is only scheduled for a short stint, and Sami (Alison Sweeney) hasn’t even confirmed an encore, 37% of you are already begging them to stay and cause trouble.
Trouble, of course, comes naturally to Sami, but Carrie has mostly played the good girl to her sister.
Then again, this time around, Carrie will be spending some quality time with her mother, Anna (Leann Hunley), one of Salem’s baddest bad girls. Maybe she’ll pick up some pointers and face her baby sister anew–more evenly matched.
You Gotta Know When To Fold ‘Em
For 34% of you, a Carrie/Sami showdown would be most welcome – as long as they don’t wear out their welcome, while they’re at it.

You’re happy to see them show up, trade some barbs (maybe offer a wedding slap or two), then head off into the sunset (they can flip a coin to decide who gets Austin), and leave viewers wanting more.

Meanwhile, for 29% (really, it was practically a three-way tie), the best option is to split the difference.
These folks would be happy if Carrie and Sami returned on a regular basis, popping into town to cause a big splash, leaving when the story had run its course, then returning to launch a new adventure. The most important thing is to have the Brady sisters back in Salem where they belong – but doing something worthy of their talents.
