While Billy Flynn’s future with Days of Our Lives remains murky, we now have news that he’s set to co-star and co-write a new feature film.
According to Deadline, Flynn will be working with Banshee and Quarry star Tyson Sullivan to develop the feature film, Willowbrook, in which they will both star.
It looks like filming will start in February in New York State. Matthew Huston will be making his feature directorial debut.
The film is about a young mother who dies and leaves behind a devastated husband and young daughter. Not long after, a childhood friend returns but when she does, she creates havoc within the family.
Flynn’s future with DAYS has been in question after unconfirmed reports surfaced that he was finished at the soap despite signing on for another year several months back. Current co-star Marci Miller has already left the role of Abigail and Kate Mansi has returned to her Emmy-winning role, but it’s unknown for how long.
Was she brought in to help write a happily-ever-after scenario for Chad and Abby? There are still a lot of unanswered questions but one thing is for certain — Flynn’s star definitely seems to be on the rise. If he already left the show, this new project could be a good reason why.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
