For former Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, Shawn Christian, today is a very special day. You see, Shawn Christian was born on December 18, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which means he turns 56 today!

The handsome actor graduated from Ferris State University, and after earning a degree in marketing, he left the next day to pursue his dream to become an actor by relocating to Chicago. There, he studied his craft and worked with the improvisational company Improv Olympic.
His first big break came when he won the Star Search spokesmodel competition in 1994. He was then cast on the CBS New York soap opera, As the World Turns, as Mike Kasnoff. He played that role from 1994 until 1997. From there, he tried his luck in Los Angeles, and enjoyed an extremely successful career in primetime, appearing on shows like Boston Legal, Pacific Palisades, Charmed, and Ellen.
In 2008, he was cast on DAYS as Maggie’s long-lost son, Daniel Jonas, who also happens to be Holly’s father. He also fathered Chloe’s son, Parker. In 2015, he was killed off in a drunk driving storyline and Daniel’s heart was given to Brady. However, his character appeared as a ghost throughout this past year. He’s engaged to his former co-star, Arianne Zucker (Nicole).

Last year, Christian went back to his daytime roots with Zucker as the two founded Daytime Cares, an organization that raises money to help those hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. The pair hosted another live-streamed event that raised funds for the restaurant industry, which was been severely impacted in 2020 as indoor dining has had to frequently close to slow the spread of COVID-19.
