You know the signs: You’re watching your favorite soap operas, and suddenly it seems like everyone is saying how much they hate this one certain person. That character has a total target on their back and you realize it’s only a matter of time before someone tries to take them out. So who was 2019 setting up on your favorite soaps?

Soap Operas: Biggest Targets

Daytime has been churning out the troublemakers but each show appears to be lining up one particular character who is extra bad — extra backstabbing — and making all the other characters angry and looking for payback. Here are our picks for those most likely to attract a bullet.

General Hospital: Valentin

Who in Port Charles doesn’t want to take a shot at Valentin (James Patrick Stuart)? He betrayed Nina (Cynthia Watros) by making it look like Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is her daughter, he’s challenging Lulu (Emme Rylan) for custody of Charlotte (which ticks off her family), his rivalry with no-longer-dead Nik (Marcus Coloma), and don’t count out Claudette.

Days of our Lives: Gabi

While Gabi (Camila Banus) hasn’t been completely found out, she has made an enemy of Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) through her manipulations of Lani (Sal Stowers). She’s got Chad (Billy Flynn), Abby (Kate Mansi), and SteVano (Stephen Nichols) gunning for her and when Eli (Lamon Archey) and his grandma Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) realize what she’s done with that app, watch out Gabi!

The Bold and the Beautiful: Thomas

Obsession has clouded Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and caused him to do horrible things to everyone around him, even his beloved son. His manipulations of Hope (Annika Noelle) have ticked off her hubby Liam (Scott Clifton), her mama Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and his sister Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) isn’t so thrilled with him either.

The Young and the Restless: Adam

You would thinking coming back from the dead would endear him to his family but no, not happening. Adam (Mark Grossman) tried to kill the Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his family doesn’t take kindly to that. He’s also messing with Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) relationship with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) — how much is Nick supposed to take? And Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is really ticked off. He’d better watch out.
