Fans love it when Martha Madison has exciting news to share related to Days of Our Lives. Fans of Belle Black are going to happy to hear what’s next for the actress!
Madison is set to return to DAYS on Monday, March 18. She’ll be reprising her role as John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) daughter.
Last time, Madison was in Salem she played the pivotal role in the dramatic tale featuring Marlena’s right to die with dignity. The story was a tearjerker and resulted in pre-Daytime Emmy nominations for both Madison and Hogestyn.
Soap Hub hears that jeopardy for Marlena, who was recently poisoned by Diana (Judith Chapman), is what brings Belle back this time. But will the story revolve around another legal issue or does Madison’s return have a different connotation this time?
“I had a great time shooting this,” Madison tells Soap Hub. “Ron [Carlivati, head writer] has an incredible imagination. You never know what you’re going to get [when you open a script] and I love that about him! Imagine how hard it must be to write five shows a week and not be predictable? This episode is really fun.”

Madison’s return is, alas, brief, but don’t be surprised if she pops up again in the future!
Because of DAYS’ production schedule, there’s a delay between shooting an episode and seeing it on air. “It’s like celebrating a half-birthday,” chuckles Madison. “You get to party on your birthday and then celebrate again six months later!”
