First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes that adorable baby carriage. Except on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), where Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) seem to be doing everything exactly backwards.
Lani got pregnant by Eli after an accidental one night stand that stemmed from a misunderstanding. Lani first tried to pass the baby off as JJ’s (Casey Moss) to keep him from trying to commit suicide again. Eli went along because he didn’t want girlfriend Gabi (Camilla Banus) finding out, either.
But guilt eventually got the best of Lani, and she confessed. JJ dumped her, and stomped off in a huff. Lani and Eli agreed to raise the baby together. And now they are actually shopping for carriages.
But what about the love part? Are they destined to end up together? Here’s what almost 5,000 viewers are hoping for:

They’ve got the right stuff, 55% of you agree. Lani and Eli have supercouple potential, even if their romance did start out a bit backwards.
While they loved JJ and Gabi, respectively, those weren’t grand passions they’ll be pining over for the rest of their lives.

Lani and Eli are ready to move on and as long as there is a baby too, why not with each other? You know Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) would approve! Even if she would get a little over-involved!

You know what a supercouple needs, 45% of the audience ventures. Passion. Chemistry. Sparks. You know what Lani and Eli lack? All of the above. Right now, they come off as polite co-parents who have decided to bite the bullet and make the best of a bad situation.
Not to say that great romances haven’t come from that. But, usually there’s a little something extra also involved. And that’s missing here–big time.
