On Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), Lani slept with Eli, then passed off their baby-to-be as JJ’s (Casey Moss). Eli knew the truth, but agreed to keep quiet – he wasn’t too excited about girlfriend Gabi (Camilla Banus) finding out about it, either.
But then Eli’s mom, Valerie (Vanessa Williams), found out. She pressured Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) to come clean. Lani hemmed and hawed and finally… did.
Now she’s mad at Valerie. And wants to make sure Valerie’s boyfriend, Abe (James Reynolds), is too. She’s doing a good job at that. Abe is angrier at Valerie for keeping the secret about Lani than he is at Lani for making her do it, in the first place.
Are fans feeling sorry for Lani, or do they think she got what she’s had coming for months? Over 12,000 viewers voted.
Now lie in it (so to speak), 65% of fans aren’t in a forgiving mood (not unlike JJ). She’s the one who let this situation get out of hand.
She’s the who led JJ on, justifying the lies by saying that it was for JJ’s own good.

Now Lani wants to blame Valerie… Eli… JJ… anyone but herself. But ,she’s the one responsible. She could have ended this at any time, and certainly earlier than now. No sympathy for you, Lani, honey.
It Could Have Happened To Anyone
How many people in Salem have lied about their babies’ paternity? It’s probably in the water. And they’ve all been forgiven eventually. Many of them even earned sympathy from the good citizens. So, why shouldn’t Lani be granted the same consideration, 34% of you wonder.
She didn’t set out to lie to Eli and JJ. She made an impulsive decision, and the effect seemed so positive! JJ finally had something to live for! You can’t blame Lani for wanting to go with that.
