In one of her parting shots before being carted away for trying to kill Marlena, Diana dropped a bomb on Ted on Days of Our Lives. She let him know she had seen supposedly dead wife — very much alive. Of course, Diana is a master manipulator, but what if she was telling the truth?
And even better, what if she knows that woman because of her dealings in Salem? That doesn’t mean that Diana (Judith Chapman) had to have met Ted’s (Gilles Marini) wife during her previous time in town.
After all, we know she was keeping track of John (Drake Hogestyn) while she was married and living elsewhere.
That would mean the woman could have a connection to John, and that’s why Diana knew who she was.
Fresh off the news that Stacy Haiduk is returning to the show, could that mean Ted’s wife was Kristen, John’s former flame? She certainly has experience faking her own death.

That would seem more believable than Ted marrying Kristen’s lookalike, Susan Banks, who went a little nuttier (it’s a wide range, folks) after stealing Will (Chandler Massey) and trying to make him into her thought-dead son, EJ.
Speaking of EJ, the love of his life is also connected to John since she was basically raised by him. Sami (Alison Sweeney) has been alone supposedly since losing EJ but she’s been out of sight often.
Could she have been scamming Ted for something, tired of him, and then looked for an escape route by faking her death?
