When it comes to Days of our Lives, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the DAYS week that was.

Days of our Lives: A Critic’s Week In Review

Have you ever tried to sit down and explain the ongoing plots of your favorite soap opera to a nonviewer? If you haven’t, and Lord knows that you should because this genre needs all the new converts that it can get, be forewarned that you’ll probably be met with a lot of side-eyes.

Kind of like how Chanel (Precious Way) reacted to all the tea that Claire (Isabel Durant) was spilling. No, Miss Thang, Claire wasn’t making any of that stuff up. Her aunt is indeed suffering from selective amnesia, thanks to a head injury that she sustained after being trapped inside an exploding room by a man who offed her previous jailer who was working on orders from the man who initially attempted to brainwash her husband into killing her.

Gosh. When you put it all out there…actually, when you put ANY of it out there, it does sound like somebody just made it up.

Good thing that Claire didn’t mention anything about the masks that can completely alter your face, voice, measurements, and *ahem* other delicate areas.

Much like the one of Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) just whipped up in a jiffy; the one that completely convinced both Rex (Kyle Lowder) and Xander (Paul Telfer) that Dr. Horton was actually hot for her cheating ex.

And speaking of crazy plot points, we need some major clarification on what exactly Kristen did with Sarah.

Like, we’re smart enough to comprehend that she shipped her off to the oh-so-convenient DiMera Island, but is that tropical paradise staffed by anyone at all qualified to care for a woman who was doped up with a drug that nearly drove Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) completely insane?

For goodness sake, she still occasionally thinks she’s not actually herself but rather some brunette who bears an uncanny resemblance to actress Kate Mansi! What chance does Sarah stand if she’s merely left to her own devices?

Further DAYS Musings

* The Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) murder case continues to intrigue, especially now that we’ve been offered new suspects – Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
