Days of our Lives

7 Stranded Castaways — Tropical Paradise or Island Mishap?!

Days of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) gave us a seven-stranded-castaway story when it had Sonny’s company jet make an emergency landing on a deserted island. During that time, lives were changed.

Paul (Christopher Sean) was bitten by a mosquito, which turned him into an Incredible Hulk — knocking poor Gabi to the ground, slicing Eli, and threatening the love of his life if anyone came near him.

It tested Paul and Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) love, thrust Gabi into Chad’s arms, and almost broke up JJ and Lani. The whole thing freaked Chad out enough to take Gabi’s warning and bury that unlucky amulet, which Sonny later found and pocketed.

All was saved though when Marlena (Deidre Hall) in high heels, along with John, popped out from behind a bush to announce they were saved.

Soap Hub asked viewers if you were disappointed in the story and your answer was split nearly exactly down the middle.

Island Mishap
After over 3,000 votes were tallied, 51% decided that yes – you were disappointed in the island story. It needed more shirts off, more loving, and less silly antics. This was a chance to really have these characters do interesting things and it fizzled.

Island Paradise
Meanwhile 49% of you thought it was great – you were happy to see your faves away from Salem for a while. You were so excited to see Gabi (Camila Banus) and Chad finally give in to their feelings and you’re thrilled Sonny proved his love for Paul.

Sure, it had its campy moments, but you love that about the show! The women were gorgeous, the men were hot, and you can’t wait until the next time DAYS pulls something like this off.
