Days of Our Lives (DOOL) loves group outings – whether they’re on a cruise of deception or in the latest case – making an emergency landing on a deserted island.

This time it was a story of seven stranded castaways, pulling together (some a bit more than others) to try to survive until they could be rescued. But, what was the point of all of this?

Was it about poor Paul (Christopher Sean) getting jungle fever and becoming the Hulk?

Nah…. Was it about the five-minute fight between JJ (Casey Moss) and Lani (Sal Stowers) so they could grow closer? Nope. Not that either.

Nor was it about Eli (Lamon Archey) realizing there was nothing happening with Gabi. He knew that back in Greece.

So what is the one lasting thing that came out of this entire story?

What do you think? Post a comment!

It gave Chad (Billy Flynn) and Gabi (Camila Banus) the opportunity to think that if they were never getting off the island alive, then why not have sex? Bingo. Now there ya go!

Because pretty much the moment they decided they were ready to be a couple, they suddenly heard Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) voice and saw her and John (Drake Hogestyn) come out from behind a bush – POOF! Everyone is rescued! It was a bit anticlimactic.

Soap Hub editors expected this turn of events back when the two were locked in the freezer, so this new development wasn’t shocking.

Neither will hearing she’s pregnant in a couple of months, probably just as Chad and Abigail (Marci Miller) start to get their marriage back on track. We could be wrong, but since it is a soap opera, probably not.

Let us know if you agree.
