They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps but can you guess who he grew up to be?

Star of the Soaps

Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is currently starring on one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not much of a hint.

So try these on for size. He is a three-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, a soap hopper (with three serial roles to his credit), and a guitarist who has released two full-length albums.

But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, BB), Chandler Massey (Will Horton, DAYS), Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH), or Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway, YR)?

Chandler Massey

He’s won three consecutive Daytime Emmys for his work as Will Horton – whom he has played since 2010 (minus a leave from August 2013 to September 2017) – but DAYS is his first, and so far only, soap role. And though he is musically inclined, Massey would rather tickle the ivories than strum a guitar.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Chad Duell

No, Duell isn’t today’s featured star. General Hospital is the only daytime soap that he has appeared in, though his work has netted him six Daytime Emmy Award nominations and one win – for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2015.

Tyler Johnson

He’s guest-starred on episodes of 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, and White Collar. Like Massey, Johnson is a piano enthusiast with only one soap to his credit. He’s also yet to win an award for his soapy endeavors but that could certainly change at any moment.

Scott Clifton

Not only has Clifton traveled the daytime dial (with roles on GH, One Life to Live, and BB) but he has picked up three awards for his efforts on the latter program. His first EP album, Untitled, was quickly followed by a second (Unbeautiful), and then two full-length albums (So Much for the Nightlife and Mannequin).

He released his third album, Girl Go Home, in April 2014, and we’re sure that this talented singer, songwriter, and guitar player will have even more music to offer in the future.

So, if you guessed that Clifton might be the answer to today’s identity query, then you were absolutely correct!
