They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps but can you guess who this little darling grew up to be?

Star Of The Soaps

Obviously this young woman (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.

So try these on for size. She developed her interest in acting while a freshman in high school and she was later “discovered” by a talent manager at a state thespian competition. She also has two soap roles under her belt.

But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget Forrester, BB), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton, DAYS), Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily Quartermaine, GH), or Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson, YR)?

Ashley Jones

Jones has appeared on three daytime dramas – BB, YR (ex-Megan Dennison), and GH (ex-Parker Forsyth). And her passion for performing manifested itself far earlier than her teenage years. In fact, she filmed her first commercial at the age of 5. So she isn’t today’s featured star.

Natalia Livingston

With roles on both GH and DAYS (ex-Taylor Walker), Livingston meets the two-soap requirement. And she also began acting while in high school. But she was “discovered” while working at Home Depot and not during an acting competition.

Melissa Claire Egan

Egan auditioned for a number of television parts while still a youngster, but she didn’t exactly consider herself a “child actor.” However, after college graduation (Egan emerged from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in theater), she began seeking employment in the entertainment field in earnest.

So, despite her work on two soap operas – All My Children (ex-Annie Lavery) and YR – Egan is not today’s mystery child.

Linsey Godfrey

Godfrey was a freshman at South Fork High School (and a member of the drama department) when she was forced to replace an ailing fellow student in the institution’s latest offering.

That experience ignited a passion for performing that eventually culminated in Godfrey gaining a talent manager, who was impressed with the prowess she displayed during a statewide acting competition. Among the actress’s many credits are two daytime dramas: BB (where she played Caroline Spencer) and DAYS.

So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Linsey Godfrey, then you were absolutely correct!
