They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this raven-haired beauty grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young woman (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. She is a soap hopper (with four serials under her belt). She made her feature film debut in a picture starring Melanie Griffith. The actress is an alum of the Saved by the Bell franchise. And she has appeared in several high-profile primetime programs as a supporting cast member.
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller, BB), Krista Allen (ex-Billie Reed, DAYS), Lesli Kay (ex-Lois Cerullo, GH), or Stacy Haiduk (ex-Patty Williams; ex-Dr. Emily Peterson, YR)?
Though she’s had a number of supporting roles in primetime series such as Baywatch (where she played lifeguard Jenna Avid) and What About Brian, Allen has only appeared on two soap operas – BB (ex-Shelley) and DAYS – so she’s automatically out of the running as the potential answer to our identity query.
Kay has graced four daytime shows with her presence – As the World Turns, GH, BB (where she played Felicia Forrester), and YR (where she also played Felicia) – but she didn’t share the silver screen with Melanie Griffith. So she isn’t today’s featured star.
And neither is Haiduk – despite her continued presence in a number of primetime series, including Superboy – on which she starred – The Round Table, SeaQuest DSV, and Kindred: The Embraced.
Sofer made her acting debut on Another World (where she played Joyce Abernathy) and she would go on to Loving (ex-Rocky), General Hospital (where she originated the role of Lois Cerullo), and BB.
Sofer also had supporting roles in series such as Melrose Place, Oh, Grow Up!, Ed, Just Shoot Me, and Heroes. Her first film role was the Sidney Lumet-helmed A Stranger Among Us and she is well known to Saved by the Bell fans for her work as Andrea Larson in the TV movie Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Rena Sofer – who’s been playing Quinn on BB since July 12, 2013 – then you are absolutely correct!
