When The Bold and the Beautiful premiered, Eric and Stephanie’s marriage was riddled with malaise. The two later split only to find their way back to one another. Along the way, and since then, he has married other women. He’s rarely been single.

Which woman has been the best for Eric (John McCook) over the years? Soap Hub posed this question. Note: While Eric was also wed to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), this poll addresses his four other wives who would actually have a chance of being labeled “best” rather than most homicidal.
Queen Stephanie
Not surprisingly, Stephanie (Susan Flannery), Eric’s wife of 30+ years won 47% of your vote, nearly half of the total. The couple built Forrester Creations together, raised four children, dealt with a woman (Judith Borne), who claimed to be their late daughter Angela, and they also handled a myriad of other challenges. Steph stood by while Eric went off and married other women, but eventually, he found his way back to her. They were married when Stephanie died in 2012.

Don’t Discount Donna
Donna (Jennifer Gareis) came in second with 33%. Why so high? Gareis fully embraced the story in which Donna fell for Eric. She playfully called him her “honey bear,” however, the love she felt for Eric wasn’t something she took lightly. Like her sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Donna went head-to-head against Stephanie many times as the love she felt for Eric wasn’t a passing fancy.
The Current Mrs. Forrester
Quinn (Rena Sofer) came in third with 16% of your vote. While she professes to love Eric deeply, Quinn went behind his back to try and fix her best friend Shauna (Denise Richards) up with Eric’s son Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). More recently, she’s been sharing screentime with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Is Quinn thinking of an affair? It’s too early to tell.
Better Off As Friends
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) came in last with less than 4% of your vote. Eric and Brooke fell in love after he’d had enough of Stephanie and Ridge had dumped Brooke. Alas, Brooke’s love for Ridge could not be denied. Despite Brooke marrying Eric a second time, she’s destined to be with Ridge. Stay tuned to see what happens next with Eric!
