The premiere love triangle on The Bold and the Beautiful in the 1990s was Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. For a dynamic that had tons of romance, it began with a tragedy!
Ridge (Ronn Moss) was happily wed to Caroline when she discovered that she was dying. One of her doctors, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo), became invested in Caroline’s case.
Taylor crossed paths with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) who helped run some lab tests on Caroline’s condition. Realizing that Ridge had a right to know what was happening (Caroline was keeping her tragic condition from her groom), Brooke invited Ridge to the private dining room at the club and gently broke the news to him.
Brooke gently shared with Ridge that a “friend” of hers was dying and the woman’s husband didn’t know. Ridge said the guy needed to be told. Brooke tearfully said she would inform him. Ridge asked her when she was going to do it? “I just did,” Brooke emotionally replied.
