Brooke had a habit of attending Ridge’s weddings on The Bold and the Beautiful — even when she wasn’t the bride!
The year was 1992 and a pregnant Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), believing Ridge (then Ronn Moss) was her baby’s father, broke speed limits driving to a chapel in Malibu, hoping the news of her pregnancy would prompt Ridge to dump his bride Taylor (Hunter Tylo).
Ridge had a few reasons to marry Taylor. Sure, he loved her, madly and deeply. But he also wanted to repair his damaged relationship with his father. Ridge had slept with Brooke while she was his stepmother and he felt bad about it.
Ridge knew that marrying Taylor would not only make himself happy, but he wanted to open the door for a reconciliation between Eric (John McCook) and Brooke.

There was another woman at the wedding who could have potentially altered Ridge’s world. Karen Spencer (Joanna Johnson), the identical twin of Ridge’s late wife Caroline, was in attendance in disguise.
The biggest shocking twist was that the vows were successfully exchanged much to Brooke’s dismay. The heroine was reduced to tears after she realized she’d gotten there too late.
Two points of interest: while these scenes were being taped in Malibu, there were riots going on in Los Angeles following the verdict of the Rodney King case. Story-wise, Brooke wasn’t carrying Ridge’s baby — her daughter Bridget was fathered by Eric!
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS.
