Flo Fulton went down for the count last year after getting clubbed on the head when she found out Sally was faking her illness on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, Flo’s portrayer, Katrina Bowden, is scoring a TKO in the fighting film Born A Champion.

“I loved making this movie,” says Bowden, who plays opposite Sean Patrick Flanery (ex-Sam, The Young and the Restless) and Dennis Quaid. “From the moment I read the script, I knew It was special and that I had to be a part of it. @spflanery wrote and created such a beautiful, layered story and I can’t wait for you all to see it.”

Check out the Instagram post below for more information on the film. “Swipe to see some BTS,” the actress says.

As YR viewers may recall, Flanery played Sam Gibson on BB’s sister soap about a decade ago. Sam, a widower and rural veterinarian living in New Mexico, was paired with Sharon (Sharon Case).

The two met when Sharon was using an alias after she was wrongly convicted of killing Skye (Laura Stone). After Sharon was cleared of all charges, she returned to see Sam, but the relationship faded away. Flanery’s Sam debuted in the spring and last aired in the fall of 2011.

Over the last decade, Flanery has stayed busy appearing in the series Blackout, Dexter, and The Bay. In Born a Champion, he plays Mickey Kelley, uniquely skilled in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. What will happen when he gets pulled away from everything he loves to compete in an unsanctioned MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) tournament?

Bowden’s already receiving rave reviews for her work. BB co-star Jennifer Gareis (Donna) posted: “You are so 🔥🔥🔥.” Paul J. Alessi, one of the film’s producers, shares: “You are awesome in it!”

Bowden says that Born A Champion is in select theaters and available for streaming/renting on platforms starting Friday, January 22.
