His alter-ego, Dr. Reese Buckingham, may be incarcerated overseas on The Bold and the Beautiful, but Wayne Brady, who played a key role in the baby Beth kidnapping storyline has a new venture.
New Series For Wayne Brady
Variety reports that the Let’s Make A Deal personality is set to host a new unscripted series titled Game of Talents.
The series is based on a Spanish format program that positions two teams of contestants against each other as they try to find the hidden talents of mystery performers using both a collection of clues and first impressions. Currently taping in Los Angeles, Game of Talents is set to debut on Fox in 2021.
“Game of Talents represents everything we here at Fox endeavor to bring to viewers,” said Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials for Fox Entertainment. “It’s a chance for families to gather for magnetic gameplay, a fun peek into extraordinary skills of ordinary people, and a friendly, spirited variety competition.”
Brady’s no stranger to appearing on Fox. He was the champion of the Fox competition program The Masked Singer. A multiple Emmy nominee, Brady took home the gold for his work on The CW series Whose Line Is It Anyway? The multi-talented performer’s other credits, in addition to BB, include Black Lightning and Sofia the First.
“What excites me about this series and this concept is every week we get to show off talents that will amaze, inspire and, in some cases, make your jaw-drop,” said Brady. “As someone who loves games and loves all types of talent, this was a perfect fit for me and I’m thrilled to be a part of the creative team bringing it to life. I also get to give away someone else’s money, which I always enjoy doing!”
Game of Talents is also set to launch versions in other countries including Belgium, Holland, Sweden, and the UK. Brady will also hold the title of executive producer in addition to that of host. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
