On The Bold and the Beautiful Ridge is celebrating a new granddaughter under auspicious circumstances, but actor Thorsten Kaye is celebrating something just as happy, but a lot less dramatic.
The heroic heartthrob first came to the attention of soap fans when he was cast as romantic Patrick Thornhart on One Life to Live. Next, he popped up on Port Charles as Thornhart’s older brother Ian, a doctor, remaining on that show until its cancellation in 2003.
The soap world wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the actor just yet. He next played the part of Zach Slater on All My Children. He was in Pine Valley when that show came to an end in 2011 and took part in its brief online revival a few years later.
Kaye then hopped networks when he was cast as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2013. As Ridge, Kaye’s driven key storylines including the designer’s battles with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), flirtations with Quinn (Rena Sofer) and the remarriage of Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).
