Condolences are going out to both The Bold and the Beautiful star Don Diamont (Bill) and his wife Cindy Ambuehl. Recently, Diamont posted an emotional tribute to his late father-in-law, who passed away following a battle with Alzheimer’s.

“This is a cherished picture taken on the Santa Monica Pier from a beautiful day spent with my dear father-in-law, John Kolbo,” Diamont posted on his social media account. “We lost him over the weekend after years spent battling the debilitating challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease.
“He was a great grandfather, grandfather, father, and husband, widowed three years ago after losing his BELOVED wife, Sandy,” Diamont continued. “John was a Marine, and then a dedicated Anaheim Police Officer who served as he lived, with honor and integrity. A life well-lived, he is now free from the confines and tortures of this horrible illness, and no doubt comforted and smiling back in the warm embrace of the absolute love of his life, Sandy! RIP John‼️🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️.”
Veteran BB fans recall that in 1996, Ambuehl played the role of Kim, girlfriend to a man who ran Unicorn Fashions, a rival of Spectra Fashions where Clarke Garrison (Dan McVicar) worked. Today, one of Los Angeles’ top realtors, Ambuehl has numerous credits from her acting days. On JAG, she played Rene Peterson, a recurring role. She also appeared on numerous sitcoms including Seinfeld, Frasier, Ellen, Love Boat: the Next Wave, and Wings.

Friends of the couple have been posting condolences on Diamont’s Instagram page. “May you and your family feel peace and please tell Cindy you are in my prayers. 💔💗,” wrote Beth Maitland (Traci, The Young and the Restless), who played the love interest to Diamont’s Brad in Genoa City.
Home & Family’s Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan, All My Children), Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan, YR), and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, YR) also posted messages of support.
