In addition to his run on The Bold and the Beautiful as Dollar Bill Spencer, actor Don Diamont has done some commercials and print ads throughout his career. He recently recalled one ad campaign from the past that he did, taking a hilarious stroll down Memory Lane.
Don Diamont — Mad Men Moment
“When you’ve sold as much deodorant as I have, you have a reputation for smelling really good,” Diamont began a social media post, showing a print ad for the deodorant Sure. “Of course there is a yin and yang to everything. So on the one hand B.O. is a NO. That’s great! The flipside is people constantly coming up to you and wanting to smell your armpits.
“Over the years I’ve learned to draw the line. I mean you have to have boundaries,” states Diamont, adding dryly (pun intended), “It’s one sniff to a customer, and they have to pick one pit. Both armpits crosses the line!
“The weirdest thing is when my @boldandbeautifulcbs TV son’s @cliftoncam @theedarinbrooks ask…, hey! DADDY!, can we smell your armpits? Though begrudgingly…, I always give in. Are they odd??? YES! But I accept them with their armpit fetishes, and love them unconditionally! #tbt @suredeodorant.”
Scott Clifton (Liam) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) couldn’t help but weigh in on their TV dad’s post. “It’s only because a witch told me I had to collect your armpit hair for the immortality potion she made me,” Clifton quipped. “Only trade-off is it would give me a gross pinky finger.”
“THAT’S what that smell was?!?!?” queried Brooks. “I thought someone on set just adopted a GOAT.” Always quick with a comeback, Diamont noted to Brooks that “GOAT” stands for something else. “You know I’m the Greatest Of All Time’!!!” Diamont responded. Check out the actor’s post below. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
