Wyatt Spencer was fairly busy this past year on The Bold and the Beautiful. He wasn’t in the forefront of the show’s baby swap drama, but he certainly stayed busy romancing not one, but two women. Still, Wyatt’s portrayer, Darin Brooks, had enough time off to shoot a few other projects.
Darin Brooks: Busy Year
The actor appeared in a Lifetime film in November, and he says he completed another movie for the cable outlet, too. “I did a few of those [movies] when I had some time off at BB or when I wasn’t heavy in story,” Brooks recently told TV Insider. “The first one that aired was My Sister’s Deadly Secret (AKA The Missing Sister). I had a small part in that…I was the cousin of the lead guy and I played a detective on the police force.
“They asked me to do another one coming out next year. It was originally called DNA Killer – I’m not sure if it’s keeping that title. I have a bigger role in this one in that I play Will, who is the brother of the lead character played by Brooke Nevin [Scorpion]. Her best friend goes missing. Doing these movies is a blast. It’s fun and the schedule is very different from doing soaps.”
To recap Wyatt’s year, he partnered up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) following his breakup with Katie (Heather Tom). After Wyatt learned that Sally hadn’t been forthcoming with Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) plans, Wyatt felt betrayed and the couple split.
Then, he reconnected with former flame Flo (Katrina Bowden), who took deception to new heights after hiding that she knew baby Beth, Wyatt’s niece, was alive. After Wyatt showed her the door, he and Sally embarked on a tentative (but also promising) reunion.
At press time, there wasn’t a confirmed air date for DNA Killer. As soon as one becomes available, Soap Hub will let you know! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
