Soap stars like Adrienne Frantz of The Bold and the Beautiful aren’t just seen on television screens. Their images are often captured by Hollywood’s top shutterbugs. Now, Frantz has revealed that one of the photographers whom she’d befriended, John Russo, has suffered a painful loss.
A Sad Loss For Adrienne Frantz
“We lost this amazing woman Marie Russo my best friend @johnrussophoto mother today!” Frantz recently posted on Instagram. “She was like a mother to me! I can’t think of a time since I was 17 that she hasn’t been there! She was the most beautiful woman with the most amazing soul! The world will be a much sadder place without her beautiful face shining in it! I love you so much Marie! I always will forever!!
“John you are my brother!” Frantz continued. “I am here for whatever you need and I love you so much! I know you are dancing with Dan again and I will see you again someday! I am absolutely heartbroken right now!!! #heartbroken #family #heaven”
As Frantz had known Marie at the age of 17, it’s likely that Russo was photographing the actress when she played Tiffany on Sunset Beach. Her stay on that show was relatively brief, but Frantz wasn’t on the market for long.

The Bold and the Beautiful hired her to take on the role of Amber, a scrappy, young “have not” in the vein of many soap opera, scrappy, young “have nots.” She became instantly popular on the show as Amber set her sights on Rick (Jacob Young), earning Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) cautious eye along the way.
Amber endeared herself to viewers by giving up one of her kidneys to Rick. She went on to become pals with Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and helped save her from Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) murderous wrath. Amber gave birth to Marcus’s (Texas Battle) daughter, who she named Rosie.
