The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, June 23, 2020, continues Emmy Winners week with a look back on Rome Flynn’s golden performance as Zende. It was a trip back to June 22, 2017, and he took a strong stance for his wife and sister-in-law.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
It was adoption day for Lizzie but Nicole (Reign Edwards) was having second thoughts. Lizzie may be her only shot at motherhood. She questioned signing away her rights but Zende stepped in. She was a surrogate and Rick (Jacob Young) and Maya (Karla Mosley) were Lizzie’s parents. That was the agreement.
Zende was gentle with Nicole but things got rough when she bought up her dad. Julius (Obba Babatundé) not only agreed with Nicole but was pushing her to keep the baby. Nicole was very confused, distraught, and needed more time before making the final call.
Julian Went Way, Way Too Far
Over at the office, Julius scolded his eldest daughter for even asking Nicole to carry the baby in the first place. Oh sure, Maya wanted a child but look at the repercussions. Now Nicole may not have children of her own.

Julius was in the process of ripping Maya apart when Zende burst into the room. He had a few words for Julius and none of them were nice. Zende made it clear Maya was the baby’s mother and that was that. He demanded Julius back off, or else!
That’s when things really went off the rails. Julius pointed out Maya was not made to have a baby and therefore, did not deserve the child. Zende heard enough! Julius’s disdain for Maya was too much and Zende kicked him right out of the room and told him to stay out of all their lives.
Common Ground
Over at Spectra, Sally (Courtney Hope) and Thomas (then-Pierce Fodé) were sizzling hot with the air conditioner down, but that didn’t stop them from turning up the heat even more. She apologized for letting him down and he said all the right things to lift her up. Sally wasn’t the same woman she was months before.
In fact, Thomas thanked her for her scheming ways. She saved him from a life of mundane work in the family fold and added excitement. He adored her and was looking forward to seeing what they could build together. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
