They say that confession is good for the soul. But will Hope (Annika Noelle) really feel better if she tells Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that she caused his precious baby boy to somersault into a vat of acid that, according to Charlie (Dick Christie), could dissolve a whole person’s body into nothing?
It sure doesn’t seem like it would help Ridge. But maybe he should be clued into the fact that his offspring was manically trying to force a sexual liaison with his stepsister while using the custody of his child to force the issue.
And, granted, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) handled the news quite well. In fact, she seemed only momentarily bothered by the revelation that the man she had spent years co-parenting — and who recently called her finger little and slutty — had taken a dip in some flesh-eating hazardous waste.

Meanwhile, Liam (Scott Clifton), who was aghast to discover that Hope had indeed found a way to get Douglas away from his father, added insult to (Thomas’) injury when he insisted that the man would now be a constant presence in their lives.
Not so, said Hope. I actually killed him last night with the help of some sizzling liquid that was definitely not the water I initially thought I shoved him into. Well, actually, she didn’t say that.
In fact, Hope didn’t say much of anything to her husband. She just sat there blankly staring into space reliving the night before over and over again much to the consternation of the audience who was subjected to the same clip of Thomas landing in the acid bath over and over and over again.
