The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful knew her as Amber Moore but star Adrienne Frantz was also on Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem as well as Sunset Beach and she recently spoke out about a scary situation at her 5-year-old daughter Amélie’s school.
Adrienne Frantz Details Active Shooter At Her Daughter’s School
The former Amber Moore actress shared a graphic with the 19 school children and two teachers who perished in the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas last week.
“I pray so hard for the families that lost their babies!” she wrote in her caption. Then, she went on to detail a terrifying experience her family had recently. “A few months ago I got a phone call from Amélie’s principal saying there was a reported gunman at her school. That the kids were all locked in the classrooms. I have never felt fear like that in my life! I started screaming at the top of my lungs begging my friends to drive me and take me there! It was my worst possible nightmare!
“Scott [Bailey; her husband] had gone to pick her up and was then locked in the auditorium with the other parents! I kept calling him screaming ‘Go get her!’

“Amélie told me they were locked in the classroom with the lights off, hiding. They had to not make a sound and when she started crying her friend Enzo grabbed her hand and told her it was going to be ok.”
“There were a billion police and helicopters there. They kept them all there for what felt like an eternity. Not exactly sure what happened but all of a sudden they said it was secure and the kids could leave. School never gave us an exact answer. I felt like a horrible mother because I never told my daughter that could happen. I didn’t want my 5-year-old to lose her innocence and have that fear every day. I wanted school to be a wonderful fun experience. But unfortunately, this is the world we live in now. As much as we may try to shelter them, this is the reality!
