As Rick Forrester, Jacob Young has had numerous love interests on The Bold and the Beautiful — Amber, Kimberly, Phoebe, Taylor, Ashley, Caroline, and Maya. Off-screen, however, the Emmy-winning actor is a one-woman man!
Jacob Young Celebrates Love
“Today on May 13th, 13 years ago, I married my best friend,” Young posted on Instagram, referring to, of course, his wife, Christen. “Our journey together has only become richer, our love for each other that much deeper. I’m so thankful every day that we crossed paths all those years ago in NY. From the East Coast to the West Coast and now settled here in the beautiful mountains of Utah.
“It seems our love grows no matter where we are. As long as I’m with you my heart is full and my life is complete. I love you @christenyoung4 Happy Anniversary! 🥂 Here’s to us today and our double lucky 13!❤️.”
Young first made the soap scene in 1997 when Rick was aged from a young boy to a teenager. After two years in the role, the actor vacated the part, but he wasn’t gone from soaps for long. By the end of the year, he had landed the recast role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital.

Young nabbed a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in a Drama Series and then once again exited the soap genre. Then, he moved 3,000 miles across the country to New York City where he took on the part of JR Chandler on All My Children.
After AMC ended in 2011, Young returned to the West Coast and reprised the role of Rick, rejoining the BB family. The show broke new ground with the love story of Rick and Maya (Karla Mosley), who was born Myron.
After being initially stunned that Maya was transgender, Rick realized that he loved her. Later, they moved to Forrester International. Viewers learned that the couple split off-screen after Maya returned to Los Angeles. While love continues to elude Rick, Young, on the other hand, has found his happily ever after.
