Ashley Jones is taking part in the social media challenge that has women speaking out in support of other women. The Bold and the Beautiful star elaborated in her post on the challenges she’s faced in the last year and she hopes her experiences can help motivate others.

“I look back on the past year and get so emotional thinking about certain tough dark times,” says Jones, who recurs on BB as Bridget Forrester. “I can barely see through my tears writing this. But here I am because God gave me the greatest support system that continually reminds me of my strength. To my dearest family (given and chosen), thank you for your prayers and never giving up on me. Thank you for believing in me when I did not. And thank you (you know who you are) for showing up in all the ways and ALL THE PLACES and carrying me when I simply couldn’t take another step.
“I’m still just putting one foot in front of another,” continues the actress, who adds, “but sometimes look back and marvel- I’ve come a long way. I write all that to say, If you are going through the lowest valley of your life- keep going.
“Lean on the people that support you,” Jones offers. “If you believe in prayer, PRAY. If you don’t believe in prayer, try. Ask your friends to pray. And show up for one another. There is a treasure in the trauma… look for it. That is where you find your strength.

Jones updated her post to support Turkish women. In Turkey, tragically, the murder rate for women has risen drastically in recent times. “TURKISH women,” she says, “We see you and stand with you.
