The Bold and the Beautiful has seen some cast exits over the last year. The characters of Zende, Thomas, Nicole, and Coco have either left town or seen decreased air time.
Executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell addressed these changes in a recent interview.
“I do miss Zende (Rome Flynn), Thomas (Pierson Fode), and Nicole (Reign Edwards),” Bell said. “That was probably the biggest exodus including Coco (Courtney Grosbeck), too.”
There was the possibility that Zende would be recast, but now that Edwards has landed a role in the film Hellfest, it’s likely that Nicole will rejoin her husband overseas and be seen less frequently.
While Fode is back for a limited run starting Friday, March 9, it’s also possible that Thomas is coming back on to reclaim his former girlfriend Sally (Courtney Hope). Might he take her out of town?
Viewers saw the Spectra gang back in action earlier this week when Sally, Saul (Alex Wyse), and Shirley (Patrika Darbo) visited a gun-shooting range after a lengthy absence. The pistol-packing segment foreshadowed Sally going over to Bill to confront him and taking a shot at his beloved “Sky,” the model for his dream tower.
There’s been no word of Spectra Fashions finding a new home and Sally’s greatest champion — Liam (Scott Clifton) — is a bit too caught up in his own personal problems to be of much help to our gal Sal.
Perhaps Thomas is coming back to help Sally get back on her feet? Or will the Spectra gang be given a rest in favor of other characters?
“I’m determined to get a young group of Forresters and Spencers on-screen with a hot story by summer,” Bell said in the same interview. “There’s a lot of casting going on right now.”
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
