The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (BB) for Wednesday, January 17 feature a day when happy news is followed by absolute shock, and when speculation’s truth could rock everyone’s world!
Happy News Dimmed
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is on Cloud 9 with her happy engagement news. Finally, she’s getting married to the love of her life (erm… one of them), and things just couldn’t be better. She and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will tie the knot (again) and she wants to share her joy with her soon to be step-daughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Unfortunately, the moment Steffy answers the door, Brooke’s happiness turns to worry as she sees Steffy’s horrific emotional state. While Brooke’s world is coming together, Steffy’s is shattering into pieces, and with a baby on the way, it can’t be good for her health.
Surely this should be a time for joy for Steffy too. Of course, Brooke doesn’t yet know the terrible truth of things, which is why she’s understandably confused.
Steffy slept with her father-in-law — otherwise known as Brooke’s very recent ex-husband Bill (Don Diamont). Steffy’s husband, who is also Bill’s son, knows the truth and now nothing will ever be the same!
When she finds out, Brooke might not be thrilled either, but then again, perhaps Brooke will end up being a shoulder for Steffy to cry on considering Brooke has found herself in many a family love triangle in the past.

Meanwhile, Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer), Rick (Jacob Young), and Ridge ponder Bill’s recent behavior. Perhaps it indicates the presence of a new woman in his life.
But, who could this mystery woman be? The truth would certainly shock them. Plus, as Ridge inches ever closer to the truth, he’s also inching ever closer to a major showdown with Dollar Bill. No doubt he will be horrified to learn what his adversary did with his married daughter.
Now a pregnant Steffy’s life is in tatters, and Ridge will see it as one more reason to beat Bill down despite the fact that his daughter also carries plenty of the blame.
