Ashley Jones has been on soaps for over 20 years and now the actress is facing a real-life drama! The wife and mother is taking legal steps to protect both herself and her young son.
TMZ is reporting that Jones has filed for divorce from and a restraining order against her husband Joel Hendricks, the father of their son, Hayden, 3.
The celebrity-driven website says that Jones submitted legal paperwork on Friday, September 6, filing for divorce after a judge granted her a restraining order against Hendricks.
TMZ got a hold of a copy of the order. In it, Jones says she’s the “victim of physical abuse at the hands of her husband, and fears for her life and the life of the couple’s 3-year-old son.”
The documents go on to explain that Jones says the abuse began before the couple were married, but that Hendricks has grown more violent with her. Jones says she and her husband were struggling over her cell phone two years ago in September 2017 and he crushed her hand, causing a spiral fracture.
Jones and her son left the family home on August 17. She claims that Hendricks has been stalking her since she left and she discovered a tracking device under her car while visiting a friend’s home.

Hendricks, who reportedly works for Walt Disney Imagineering as a Sr. Platform Engineer, has been ordered to stay 100 yards from Jones and their son and to have “no form of contact with them.”
Earlier this year, in happier times, Jones shared with People what it was like planning a joint birthday party for both Hayden and his half-brotherHuck (Hendricks’ son), who is 7.
The Bold and the Beautiful star wrote on Instagram that she’d be going through a difficult time coming up and details would be shared soon. “Going through transitions and changes,” the actress posted, adding, “hands down hardest time of my life bar none. My number one is this guy [referring to her son].”
“Don’t give up 15 min before miracle happens,” Jones added. “Stick it out with me here- we can do this.”
Jones began her daytime career in 1997 as The Young and the Restless’ Megan and she has also played General Hospital’s Parker.
