A Martinez may be best known for his Daytime Emmy-winning run as Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara, but the actor’s an official soap hopper having appeared on Days of Our Lives, One Life to Live, and also, The Bold and the Beautiful.

In 2011, Martinez visited BB where he played Dr. Ramon Montgomery, a pal of Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont). Dollar Bill wanted his buddy to handle Amber’s (Adrienne Frantz) paternity test as she was claiming Bill’s son Liam (Scott Clifton) was the daddy.
Off-camera, Martinez recently celebrated a wedding anniversary with his wife Leslie, “38 years ago today, Leslie and I made our promises to one another,” Martinez posted on Instagram. “Single best move I ever made in this life, and I’d wager she feels the same. There has always been a strong connection between us — true blue friendship, a devotion to family and an appetite for fun, and an abiding love of raising our voices in song — and sometimes that connection is literally realized in human form. (If you know the prince of a dude connecting us here, you’ll know what I mean.)

Leslie weighed in with her own thoughts on her Instagram, which A re-posted, adding his own comment: “One enchanted evening, exactly 38 yrs ago, we decided to hold on to each other,” Leslie wrote, “turns out it was a great idea! Happy Anniversary, my love. And yes, @johnglenbishop is our spirit animal ❤️ @abonemartinez.”
Her husband added warmly: “What Leslie said. (Also, adding greatly to the uncomplicated joy of the moment — we eloped.)” Expect to see Martinez on your daytime screens again soon when he reprises his role as Eduardo on DAYS.
