As Steffy’s morally-conscious and capable doctor on The Bold and the Beautiful, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan, played by daytime newcomer Tanner Novlan, proved to be a kind man from the beginning. However, as Liam recently discovered, kindness should never be mistaken for weakness.

Previously, Finn mostly expressed his wariness towards Liam by shooting occasional mean looks at the blown-up photo of Liam (Scott Clifton) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that hangs in her living room. It turns out that Finn’s instincts were dead-on. He was devastated to learn that not only had Liam slept with Steffy but he could be the father of her unborn baby.
For showing Finn’s strength and his drawing a hard line in the sand with Liam, Soap Hub bestows Performer of the Week honors for BB on Tanner Novlan.
Liam tried to present his side of the story — he thought his wife Hope (Annika Noelle) had been cheating on him with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), but, in reality, Thomas was making out with a mannequin.
The interesting part is that Finn actually believes Liam was confused, but he’s not giving him a pass on how that resulted in him ending up in Steffy’s bed.
Kudos to Clifton, who maintained Liam’s stance that he didn’t intentionally try to hurt Steffy or Finn, but he knows ultimately, that his actions can’t help but paint a different picture.

With controlled anger, Finn laid out the facts to Liam, calling his actions — turning to another woman when his ego got bruised — pathetic.
Finn finally got to tell Liam what he thinks of that “damn picture” of him and Steffy hanging up in her living room. Finn said Liam knew exactly what he was doing in the months leading up to his night of drunken sex with Steffy.
Liam tried to point out to Finn that things really won’t be all that different if he’s the father of Steffy’s new baby because they already have a child (Kelly) together. Not so fast, pal. Finn firmly put forth to his rival that things will change if Steffy’s baby is his. “Steffy will not be your fallback anymore,” Finn announced.
“I am done playing games,” Finn added. “If this child turns out to be mine, your days — those days (pointing to the picture of Liam and Steffy) — are over!”
Time will tell how Steffy (not to mention Kelly) feels about Finn’s proclamation. Much will depend on who the baby’s father turns out to be. It’s possible that Finn, as a doctor, may end up bringing Steffy’s baby into the world, but one thing is for certain — as the story calls for Finn to stand up and be strong, we know that Novlan will deliver!
