Sure, technically, it’s being told over two years (this year’s and last), but Steffy’s surprise pregnancy story on The Bold and the Beautiful has been unfolding with lightning speed. No sooner did she have her dalliance with her father-in-law Bill then she found out she was pregnant!
Forget about waiting for February sweeps for Liam (Scott Clifton) to find out a paternity test was taken. That happened before 2017 came to a close! Soap Hub asked B&B fans if they think that this story’s been told too quickly. Read on for the results!
The majority of you, just under 60%, don’t feel that the story’s being told too quickly at all. You voted, “I don’t need months and months of hand-wringing. Get to the drama!” There was a time when it would have taken longer for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam to reconcile.
Then, Steffy would have had a missed cycle (which could take up to two months), and she would have gone to her confidante on the show and speculated she might be pregnant. Instead, B&B opted to tell this tale over a matter of weeks!
Over 21% of you think the story is being told too fast.
You selected the option, “yes, I expect she’ll deliver before February sweeps!” While that’s not likely, Steffy’s tale has been accelerated, to say the least! Is B&B trying a new storytelling format or is there another reason that we’ve gone from conception to suspicion to confrontation in a matter of a few weeks?
The rest of you, over 18%, say that you don’t like stories dragged out too long, but this one did go by particularly quickly. Perhaps there’s a reason for this. Hope (Annika Noelle) is due back in town any day now and Sally is waiting in the wings. Just how many love interests can Liam juggle?
Bill bumping into Steffy at the hospital seems to be a little too coincidental. Was he there to rig the tests in Liam’s favor? Stay tuned for the next twist and development in this on-going tale. And Soap Hub is confident in saying that you won’t have to wait long!
