A little over two years into his run as Zende Forrester Dominguez on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), actor Rome Flynn has announced he is exiting the show.
Reportedly, Flynn broke the news to his followers in a recent Instagram chat that it was his decision to leave his gig as B&B’s lastest designer. He also had parting words on Twitter (see below).
Out Like Flynn!
Flynn debuted on B&B in June 2015, the grown son of Kristen Forrester Dominguez and her husband Tonio Dominguez; the couple had adopted Zende during their honeymoon in Africa.
Upon his return to Los Angeles, Zende became romantically involved with Forrester Creations intern Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards).
The couple survived a series of conflicts on the way to the altar — including Zende’s fling with Sasha (Felisha Cooper), Nicole’s half-sister. Since their Valentine’s Day wedding earlier this year, Zende and Nicole haven’t had a great deal of story.
Rome gave a heartfelt performance as Zende supported his wife during the inner conflict she was feeling over giving up her daughter for Rick and Maya to raise. There was potential for a drawn out custody battle, but that story wrapped up quickly with Nicole having a change of heart (about her change of heart)!
Zende — like many of his family members — became a fashion designer and had his creative efforts shown in Monte Carlo during a face-off with Spectra Fashions.

Patience Is A Virtue
Flynn recently completed a role in Tyler Perry’s The Have and Have Nots. He’s shared on social media that he’ll appear in the nighttime soap series in 2018.
While he’s finding other work, leaving a regular gig isn’t something every actor would do, but Flynn revealed in an Instagram post in July that he believes in being patient in order to get what he wants!
“Patience is very important,” Flynn told his followers. “It’s an [integral] part of success because you have to be patient in order for things to develop in your career and in your life so be patient and let God handle it.
“Even that saying is something I need to apply to myself because even I have trouble with doing that.” He added, “Because society gives us instant gratification on pretty much everything in life and some things you have to wait for. So be patient and let God handle it.”
A recent casting notice went out from B&B and the role appears as if it could be a recast of Zende, so stay tuned to see if the show will be replacing Flynn in his role.
